How To Get Your Motorcycle Learners Licence In Queensland


Step 1 - Eligibility

To be eligible to obtain your motorcycle learners licence, you must first have held a drivers licence for 12 months and currently hold a Queensland Drivers Licence.

Step 2 - Pre-Learner Course

To obtain your motorcycle learners licence, you must complete the “2-Day Pre-Learner Course”. This course will train you on the theory and practical skills to get your licence.

Step 3 - Online Knowledge Test

After the 2nd Day of the Pre-Learner Course, you’ll be able to do the online motorcycle knowledge test. Once you complete the test, you’ll receive your Motorcycle Learners Licence.

How To Get Your Motorcycle RE Licence In Queensland


Step 1 - Eligibility

To be eligible to obtain your motorcycle RE licence, you must first hold you motorcycle learners licence for 91 days.

Step 2 - RE Upgrade Course

To obtain your motorcycle RE licence, you must complete the “1-Day RE Upgrade Course”. This course will build upon previous skills so you can safety ride by yourself.

Step 3 - Apply Online

After the RE Course, you’ll be able to apply online for your RE Licence. Once you complete the application process, you’ll have your RE licence and be able to ride alone.

How To Get Your Motorcycle R Licence In Queensland


Step 1 - Eligibility

To be eligible to obtain your motorcycle R licence, you must first hold you motorcycle RE licence for 2 years or longer.

Step 2 - R Class Course

To obtain your motorcycle R licence, you must complete the “1/2 Day R Class Upgrade Course”. This course will build upon previous skills so you can safety ride non-LAMS approved motorcycles.

Step 3 - Apply Online

After the R Class Course, you’ll be able to apply online for your R Licence. Once you complete the application process, you’ll have your R licence and be able to ride non-LAMS Approved bikes.
